2013 Municipal Awareness Day

The Town of Paradise would like to thank all residents who joined us at the RPYCC on Wednesday, May 15th for Municipal Awareness Day. Over 500 residents came out to view the displays and take in the community barbecue.
Also, we welcomed over 300 Grade 6 students from Elizabeth Park Elementary, Paradise Elementary and Holy Family Elementary. Students participated in a fun question-and-answer game with all Town departments. Students received a stamp for right answers and submitted the completed form for prize draws. Prizes included scooters, helmets and gift cards. The grand-prize winner was Braeden Beer from Elizabeth Park Elementary who won a bike, helmet and bike lock.

The Town would also like to sincerely thank all the community groups who set up displays: St. John’s Regional Fire Department, Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, Rovers Search & Rescue, St. Thomas Girl Guides, 905 Viking Air Cadets, Paradise Grasshoppers and Avalon Dragons.
